Coffee Scrubs are in great trend these days. There are brands devoting their products completely to the coffee range.

It deserves all the hype it is getting since coffee has innumerable benefits for the skin, hair and the whole body.

Coffee contains various nutrients and antioxidants along with caffeine that benefits the skin, scalp, and hair and the overall health of the body.

It can be used to exfoliate, treat acne, increase blood flow, fight free radicals and balance pH levels.

• Reduces inflammation and puffiness

However, affording products from such brands can be expensive, therefore, there is no better way than making a DIY coffee scrub at home with just a handful of ingredients and the best part is- all the ingredients needed can be found in your pantry.

Note: A patch test is always recommended before applying any of these mentioned recipes on your face.

Three Keys to Good Exfoliation:

  1. Always apply a good hydrating moisturizer afterwards to lock the moisture into your skin no matter how hydrating the scrub is.
  2. Do not splash water on your face while scrubbing. Exfoliate with damp fingers and apply some product and gently massage in a circular motion.
  3. Always remember to be gentle.
