Regardless of the fact that we are in 2020, I am still stuck in the nineties which was literally the “time of our lives”. I am missing the candies we used to have in our childhood and how we were spoilt for choice considering their broad range of flavours, shapes, packaging and colours. Reminiscing the old times brought me to write this article so that we all can together take a trip down the sweet memory lane...
Mango Bite

The most nostalgic sweet mango flavoured candy inside the yellow wrapper was one of my go-to sweet treats. Some shops still keep them and if I ever spot them, I grab them immediately.
Imli

Ahh! The mouth-watering taste of imli still lingers whenever I think about it. I don’t know about you all but when I used to eat it, I would always make the “imli ka chatkara” sound..*Chhhhttttttt*
Rola Cola

I am a big fan of coca-cola and I know most of you love it too which is why when Parle came up with Rola cola, it was a big hit among children and youth. Guess what, Parle has recently announced its re-launch thanks to all the love it received.
Swad

Remember the silver pack candy that we used to eat back then? I had forgotten the name but its tingling taste can never be forgotten. Apart from the taste, it was good for the digestive system. Talk about impressive!
Magic Pops

If you never had these, you have missed out on a lot of fun and adventure. Magic pop is a collection of many little bombs of taste which burst in your mouth and you can listen to the crackling sound, say whaaat!!!
Coffee Bite

I loved it then and I love it still. The real taste of coffee resides in the coffee bite which is even more satisfying than the expensive cup of coffees from big cafes. To be honest, I am an adult who would still prefer coffee bite over an espresso shot any day...lol!!
Lacto King

All I remember about Lacto king is that it was the “birthday toffee”. You would have definitely eaten it at a birthday party along with a platter of various things. The strongest of all toffees is Lacto king, bow down!
Pan Pasand

Mouth freshener for kids used to be none other than pan pasand candy back in the 90s. Its cool, refreshing and unique taste made every kid its fan.
Parle orange bite

This toffee is purely made of good things. I have eaten this more than any other candy in my life and I still do. It has an addictive and sweet taste which lingers for a long time in the mouth. It is hands down my favourite toffee to date.
Writing this article is making me crave something sweet which is why we will end this trip now. I am going to have one of these if I can get them, and you should do the same.
See you in my next article, till then enjoy these sweet treats! 😍
