Do you love the fragrance of freshly brewed coffee? Have you ever considered making a coffee-facial at home?
Wait, but it is to be consumed no? how can I use coffee on my face?
I know such questions would be building up in a lot of minds, so let's first look upon the benefits of using coffee on your face.
Why Coffee?
Long Answer: Coffee has Caffeine which boosts our collagen level and prevents premature signs of ageing.
Short Answer: It is the key to younger skin.
How To Do Coffee Facial?

I love coffee to the extent that I also own a body wash in coffee flavour (Who does that, right? Guess What? meeeee!). When I started thinking about more uses of coffee, I entered the famous world of Google and came to know how a tablespoon coffee is all I need for a glowing face. Including some of the famous techniques and adding some of my previous experience in DIYs, I made out a coffee facial which gave me unbelievable results.
Here's How To Do This Coffee Facial
What You'll Need
- Coffee (Obvious!!)
- Honey
- Gram Flour
- Aloe Vera
- Rice Flour/ Sugar
- Coconut Oil
- Curd
Let's Get Started!
Step 1: Cleansing
Every Facial's first step is cleansing for one specific reason: you don't want to apply good products on dirty skin.
How: Take 1 tablespoon of Coffee and add 2 tablespoons of Aloe vera Gel, mix it well and apply this cleansing gel on your face. Massaging in circular motions is better than taunting your skin, it also improves blood circulation. After 3 minutes of massage, wash your face with lukewarm water.
Step 2: Scrubbing

I can't emphasize enough how scrubbing should be a weekly routine for all of us. What does it do? Removes dead skin, thus paving a way for the fresh one to come.
Bonus: Makes you look younger :)
How: Mix 1 tablespoon of Coffee, 1 tablespoon of Rice flour (you can add sugar for a harder scrub), and 2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil. Gently Rub this DIY scrub over your face (don't be so harsh, after all, it's your face) for 6 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Step 3: Face Mask
Though scrubbing has eliminated dead skin from your face but applying a face mask becomes important to let your skin absorb some good nourishment.
How: Take a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of coffee, 1 tablespoon of Gram Flour (Besan), 1 tablespoon of Curd and 1 tablespoon of Honey to make a thick paste. Squeezing half-lemon is totally optional but owing to its bleaching properties, you can add it for skin-lightening (People with Sensitive Skin may have problems with lemon on their skin. A patch test is compulsory if you have sensitive skin). Apply it on your face using simply your fingers and leave it to dry for 20 minutes. Washing it off directly using water would create difficulty in cleaning it; first, remove the mask with a damp cloth and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Step 4: Moisturising

Your face has just gone through a tough day, after all, not every day is the day you decide on doing a facial. So girls, time to thank your skin!
Towel-dry your face and apply your favourite moisturizer. Massage for 10 minutes to see a glowing face in your mirror after. 😉
That's it, you're done!😃
