Tips To Ensure Glowing Skin In Winter

1. Hydrate

During winters, we tend to avoid drinking water as we feel less dehydrated; however, we lose water from our body in so many ways without realising it and this, in turn, makes our skin dry.

Therefore, refill your system with water and get glowing skin without having to worry about dullness anymore!

2. Proper Moisturisation

Moisturising is one of the most important steps that one must do to have glowing skin in winters. It helps in keeping our skin hydrated and makes sure that the skin does not lose its natural oil.

You have natural moisturisers like coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, buttermilk, cucumbers, just to name a few that you can use for healthy, supple skin.

3. Avoid Hot Showers

It is tempting to step in a hot shower and be there for a long time but that is just the thing you should avoid. Keep the water lukewarm and the shower short.

Moisturise immediately after shower to lock in the moisture.

4. Diet

To ensure glowing skin in winter, you need to make sure that you are getting proper nourishment from the inside.

Include foods rich in Omega 3 and foods like eggs, nuts, chia seeds, avocados, fish, yoghurt, cheese and milk. Add fruits rich in Vitamin A, C and E to stay moisturised.

5. Use Facial Oils

Facial oils help lock in hydration. Evening Primrose oil, lavender oil and coconut oils are excellent choices to prevent the skin from drying. Use coconut oil for removing makeup too.

8. Proper Exfoliation

when our skin gets overly dry, dead skin cells can build up on the surface and give a lack-lustre look.

Remember to exfoliate once a week in the shower. This will get rid of dry skin build-up, improve your skin’s natural exfoliation, and leave you with smooth, softer skin that better absorbs skincare products.
