I'm a girl who is reading the Nani Ma's Nuskhe Book since childhood, today we have a number of beauty bloggers and tons of YouTube videos about what natural ingredient would work best for you. With time, I've observed how these nuskhes were reformed and recycled in several ways but one thing that stayed the same is that they have never failed in giving desired results with almost no side-effects. Talk of Lemon for its bleaching properties or of turmeric for its skin-lightening ones; the kitchen ingredients have always turned up to help in emergencies.

I'm using them for almost a decade now and so I created an entire series to share the most of it. The In-House series comprises of In-House spa (link), In-House Body Polishing (link), In-House Pedicure (link) and the In-House Facial (that you will just read in 5 seconds). Bonus: It will cost you no money, what else will you ask for? 🙃

How To Do Homemade Facial

Step 1: Cleansing

Take some Aloe Vera on your palm and mix it with some Gulab Jal to dilute its thick consistency. Now, apply this cleansing gel on your face and keep rubbing it over your skin for good 3 minutes. Cleansing is important to ensure that you are putting efforts on clean skin. After 3 minutes, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Step 2: Scrubbing

There's yet another step needed to make your skin facial-ready and that is scrubbing your skin to remove any excess oil or dirt from your face. Take 1.5 tablespoons of Rice flour (just grind rice grains), 1 tablespoon of Honey, 2 tablespoons of Raw Milk (Unboiled) and mix these ingredients to make a home-made Scrub. Gently Rub it over your skin (don't be harsh on your skin) and rinse it off after 5 minutes.

Step 3: Steaming

Steaming helps in softening blackheads which can be removed easily thereafter, hence aid to deep cleansing. You need to boil some water in a pan and take the pan to the place where you can comfortably sit. Now face towards the coming steam (in a distance, where you can bear that steam) and cover your head with a towel so that no heat escapes off. After 15 minutes, gently wipe your face with a clean towel.

Step 4: Masking

Your skin is soft and the steaming would have opened pores by now. Applying a face mask ensures that your skin gets proper nourishment and you can also extract impurities that come off with the face mask. Take a bowl and put 2 tablespoons of Turmeric (Haldi), 1 and a half tablespoons of Gram flour (Besan), 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil (or any essential oil) and 2 tablespoons of the raw milk in it. Mix it well to get a creamy consistency. When you've achieved it, start applying it onto your skin and leave it to dry for 20 minutes. Take a damp cloth and use it to wipe the face mask and rinse it off with lukewarm water to remove whatever is left.

Step 5: Toning

Rosewater is all you need as a herbal toner. Take some of it on a cotton ball and apply it all over your face. Let it absorbed in your skin and don't wipe it off.

Step 6: Moisturising

Though we all have a certain moisturiser or any thick cream at home but as we are making an All-Natural Kit, We'll also complete this step in an organic way. Take Aloe Vera Gel and massage your face for good 5 minutes. Owing to its wonderful hydrating properties, aloe vera can be used as a moisturiser for any skin.

And you're done with a natural facial which would give you a pinkish glow in the comfort of your home.
