My experience with Plum Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash
First of all, let me tell you that I have sensitive skin. While I love to experiment with new face washes and other products, my skin does not.
Anyway, I decided to give this product a go is because it claims to be SLS free. SLS does immense harm to your skin. It strips the skin of its natural oils which causes dry skin, irritation and allergic reactions. It can also be very irritating to the eyes and cause inflammatory skin reactions including itchy skin and scalp, eczema and dermatitis. This claim really attracted me, plus the hype about Plum skincare products is really skyrocketing which is the reason behind this purchase.
The second reason why I opted for this is that it claims not to dry your skin after wash. and as someone with dry skin, trust me it really didn't dry my skin at all which is a brownie point for me.
The third reason is, I have acne-prone skin so I love using products that have aloe vera in them (because why not! we all are aware of the goodness aloe vera is loaded with). This did not cause any breakouts.
It is a translucent gel-like liquid that is runny. Honestly, I do not have much to say about the consistency, and I have no major issues with this aspect.
However, the product does not lather much maybe because it claims to be a mild cleanser. Now, this was kind of a put off for me because if it doesn't lather much, I end up consuming more product than what is needed. I emptied the tube way before I had expected.
I feel the price is on the higher side as compared to the quantity offered, so for me, it is upsetting to finish the product within some days.
Another major put off for me was the fragrance. The fragrance is mild. Since I am allergic to fragrances, therefore, I would go for something that is fragrance-free although the fragrance of the face wash didn't do me any harm.
To sum up, the product worked for me quite well. It is true to its claims that are non-drying, SLS free, and mildly cleanses my skin. The only issue was with lathering because I am someone who loves lather and bubbles. Another was the price, but if the product suits you well then pricing is not a major issue. However, according to me, the quantity offered in that pricing is a drawback.
Rating
4/5
Fragrance, lathering, and pricing are the reasons why I deducted 1 point and gave it 4 because it is true to what it claims.
Recommendation
Absolutely yes.
Since I have sensitive skin so I hardly experiment with different products or brands on my skin but this particular facewash really suited my skin. I would definitely recommend it to you if you are okay with spending a little extra on your lovely face.
