Our childhood during winters was mostly cold creams painted on our face because hey, we had dry skin. Dry skin means having more chances of wrinkles, blemishes and fine lines, hence, a compulsory element in our skincare routine: Moisturizer.
With many moisturizes in the market, it is obvious to get confused about what may work for your skin. I have spent a good time of my life in the search of an appropriate moisturizer and if you don't want to invest that long time in trying and experiencing every moisturizer for dry skin, here are the best ones that you can blindly trust on:
1. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

I'm in awe of its luxurious appearance. It comes in a little blue tub which has a glassy (and damn classy!!!) look. It might look like a big tub but it doesn't contain that much product. It feels super-light on the skin and its fragrance is close to Dove body wash. It's fun to try gel moisturizers and the skin feels soft and hydrated. Works excellent as a day cream but I think it cannot work as a night cream for most of us dry skin beauties. However, I would not recommend it for extremely dry skin.
2. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

Have you heard about this product or have you been living under the rock? Hands down, the most preferred brand by beauty bloggers and dermatologists. This non-greasy formula feels like forming a protective layer and maintains the pH level of the skin. Owing to its medicinal properties, it has no fragrance. Cetaphil doesn't require frequent re-appliance, you take bath, apply it and you're done for the day. What's more? No Parabens and No SLS.
3. Ponds Super Light Gel Oil-Free Moisturizer

It comes in a little plastic tub of blue color. If you are looking for a good Moisturizer at an affordable price, this is your best bet. With a mesmerizing fragrance, it works amazingly as a day cream as well as a night cream. A big plus is its availability, you would easily find it at your local stores. With the goodness of hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E, this gives you a completely matte look. It is perfect for summer and monsoon but again people with extremely flaky skin would not be that impressed by this product.
4. Biotique Morning Nectar

If you want a herbal-based Moisturizer, here it is. The bottle mentions that it can be used for all skin types which is very true. I have a combination skin which tends to get dry and this is something that works best for me. My sister has oily-skin but she has never faced breakouts after applying this. It is affordable and best at this price. A Pea-size amount is enough to get you going.
Bonus Tip: It forms an excellent base for your makeup.
5. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream

The results from this moisturizing cream are extremely astonishing just like its captivating packaging. The appearance of the cream is yellowish like butter and similar are the results after applying it. To be honest, yes, it's very expensive but its all worth it. The skin feels like the skin of a newborn baby. I've always used this term, 'silky' for my hair but after applying this, I can say that it gives your face a silky touch.
