Do you think makeup is sufficient to make you glow? No. Behind those layers of chemical products, lies your skin which has to be naturally healthy in order to get glowy.

Your body needs hydration to feel rejuvenated, likewise, your skin needs hydration to feel fresh. If you've got dry skin, the struggle is real. Dry skin means a red carpet for wrinkles and fine lines, mind you, they would come without an invitation. Here I need to ask you an important question, Do you have a sleep routine for your skin? Doesn't matter what skin type you have, sleep routine is a necessity to pamper your skin which had a hard day just like you . Here I'm sharing with you, what is a foolproof sleep routine for the flaky skin.

Bonus: I'm also adding the products that I use for my sleep routine :)

Step 1: Remove Your Makeup

Woman removing her makeup

It's time to sleep, why should the makeup sleep with you? One essential ritual before going to your beauty sleep is to remove makeup. Even if you don't have any, cleansing becomes an important step to remove any dirt that might be sitting on your face. Considering that you have a dry skin, using an oil-based cleanser is something you can never go wrong with. What Will It Do? It will remove any dirt or makeup without being harsh on your skin.

Product that worked for me:

Luster's Organic Whitening Cleansing Milk With Coconut Water

It has a runny consistency which effectively helps in removing any makeup. The pump on its lid makes it very hygienic to use. Additionally, I love the aroma of coconut oil and this actually smells like real coconut milk. It doesn't cost much, and is totally worth it.

Step 2: Wash Your Face

Now that you've removed all your stubborn makeup and your skin feels super-moisturized, it's time to do a quick face wash. Pick a water-based cleanser aka face wash to rinse away any traces of makeup or dirt.

Product that worked for me:

Garnier Light Complete Duo Action Face wash

I've been using it for 4 years and have no plans to shift to any other face wash. This can also make your skin dry as it has a rich foamy texture but applying a moisturizer after the cleanser refreshes the face and keeps it hydrated throughout the day. I apply it thrice a day and the tube stays for 2-3 months, yeah, no kidding!!

Biotique Honey Gel Face Refreshing Foaming Face Cleanser

I'm not a fan of this cleanser as it takes more time to rinse it off due to its moisturizing gel but If you have a dry skin, you can blindly go for this one.

Step 3:  Face Scrub

Good news, This step is not mandatory for all days, you just have to do it, twice a week. You know what Scrubbing does? It removes dead skin cells from your skin and paves way for the growth of fresh cells leaving your skin soft and supple. Gentle Reminder: You have a dry skin, only use a moisturizing scrub.

Product that worked for me:

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub

Apricot is something that your scrub should always contain but scrubs with apricots are generally harsh on skin. I adore this scrub for its gentle nature.

Step 4: Tone It Out

No, I'm not telling you to exercise before sleep time, absolutely not. In this step, you will tone your face. You can simply use Rose Water but if you're looking for some additional benefits in your toner, the market has many to offer.

Product that worked for me:

Biotique Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner

If any line can explain my love for it, they would be, ' This feels that you just came out of the shower'. It leaves your skin in its purest state.

Step 5: Serum aka Best Friend

Face serum becomes a must when you are a dry skin beauty. They hydrate your skin and restore the balance of the nutrients.

Product that worked for me:

Korean Sheet Masks

If you are a skincare enthusiast, you know the heavenly feeling of applying sheet masks on face. We have so many creative options in sheet masks and you can use any based on what serum do you want your face to enjoy.

Step 6: Moisturizer Is Back

Unskippable thing for flaky and dry skin is the moisturizer. If you don't want your skin to attract unnecessary fine lines in your thirties, moisturizer is a compulsion. Our day starts with it so why not end it with the same?

Product that worked for me:

Biotique Morning Nectar Visibly Flawless Moisturizer

I want a light moisturizer during the night so I swear to this one. A pea-size amount leaves my skin soft and supple throughout the night.

Don't forget following this sleep routine, every night, 3...2..1. this starts from today  :)
